  • luteolus. Camponotus maculatus subsp. luteolus Emery, 1906c: 188 (s.w.) ARGENTINA. Combination in C. (Tanaemyrmex): Emery, 1925b: 79. Senior synonym of carolinus (unnecessary replacement name): Bolton, 1995b: 109. Currently subspecies of bonariensis: Emery, 1920b: 233.
  • carolinus. Camponotus (Myrmoturba) maculatus r. carolinus Forel, 1916: 458. Subspecies of bonariensis: Emery, 1925b: 79; Kempf, 1972a: 65. Unnecessarily proposed replacement name for luteolus Emery, 1906c: 188, hence junior synonym of the latter: Bolton, 1995b: 91.
