    • Type-material: 1 syntype major worker, 17 syntype minor workers.
    • Type-locality: South Sudan (“Anglo-Egyptian Sudan”): Khor Aba forest, Nile-Congo watershed, S Yei, 11.viii.1939, no. 1475 (N.A. Weber).
    • Type-depositories: AMNH, MCZC (perhaps also in USNM).
    • Combination in Carebara: Fernández, 2004a: 235.
    • Status as species: Weber, 1950a: 12; Ettershank, 1966: 124; Bolton, 1995b: 300.
    • Distribution: South Sudan.
