[First available use of Myrmecocystus viaticus subsp. setipes var. seticornis Emery, 1898c: 147 (footnote); unavailable name.] Combination in Cataglyphis: Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 945. Currently subspecies of bicolor: Emery, 1908g: 217; Santschi, 1929b: 47.
