- Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of Blaimer, 2010: 17), paralectotype workers, paralectotype queens (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: lectotype Madagascar: Imerina, Antananarivo, Andrangoloaka, “central Madagascar” (Hildebrand); paralectotypes with same data, or from same locality but collected by Camboué or Sikora.
- Type-depositories: MHNG (lectotype), MHNG, MNHU (paralectotypes).
