Christian Peeters and Riou Mizuno (a student of Fuminori Ito) studying a bluish Leptogenys in dipterocarp forests close to the Thai-Burmese border. It may or may not be the same species as the Cambodian species that hunts giant millipedes and uses chains to drag them to their nest (Peeters & De Greef 2015). In Thailand they observed only smallish millipedes being hunted, 2-4 workers carry the prey by walking astride , and sporadic chains seldom exceed 2 workers.
