Alex Wild (March 27 2017) - As best as I can discern, this little Solenopsis I collected last week is undescribed. She was clinging to the petiole of a Pheidole tetra queen at Brackenridge Field Lab and remained firmly attached even in ethanol. Similar to S. phoretica Davis & Deyrup 2006, but the petiolar process and pilosity look different from the illustration. Has anyone else collected these? And, is anyone doing work on them?
