Identification
Chang and He (2002) - Similar to Formica wongi, but F. delinghaensis with short antennal scape, index of scape length with head length 89 - 100; body bright.

Type Material
Holotype worker, No 99 - 252, 15-VI-1999, Delingha, 2750 m, Qinghai Province, coll. CHANG Yourde. Paratype 1 worker, No 99 - 221, same as holoptype. Deposited in Ningxia Agricultural College collection.
