The following information is derived from Barry Bolton's New General Catalogue, a catalogue of the world's ants.

  • vitiensis. Ponera vitiensis Mann, 1921: 414, fig. 4 (w.q.) FIJI IS. Combination in Hypoponera: Bolton, 1995b: 216. Given as junior synonym of confinis by Dlussky, 1994: 53 (in list only); unconfirmed.
