Key to Australian Vombisidris Species

The following key to Australian Vombisidris is based on Bolton (1991[1]) and Taylor (1989[2]).

  • Pilosity consisting of moderately long, tapered hairs with finely acute apices; petiolar node distinctly longer than broad in dorsal view => Vombisidris renateae
  • Pilosity consisting of short, blunt or minutely clubbed hairs, proportionately about ½ to 2/3 as long as above; petiolar node in dorsal view as broad or slightly broader than long => Vombisidris australis
