  • crassicornis. Ponera crassicornis Gerstäcker, 1859: 262 (w.) MOZAMBIQUE. [Also described as new by Gerstäcker, 1862: 506.] Junior synonym of foetens: Mayr, 1907b: 9; Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 767. Revived from synonymy: Santschi, 1930b: 59 (in key). Subspecies of foetens: Santschi, 1930b: 59 (in key); of analis: Bolton, 1995b: 304.
