  • aphaenogasteroides. Messor aphaenogasteroides Pisarski, 1967: 381, figs. 10-15 (w.q.) AFGHANISTAN.
    • Type-material: holotype worker, 6 paratype workers, 1 paratype queen.
    • Type-locality: holotype Afghanistan: Paghman (A416), 2225 m., 16.vii.1957 (K. Lindberg); paratypes with same data.
    • Type-depositories: ZMLS (holotype); MIZW, ZMLS (paratypes).
    • Status as species: Bernard, 1981b: 143; Bolton, 1995b: 252.
    • Distribution: Afghanistan.
