    • Type-material: holotype worker, paratype workers (number not stated, “numerous”).
    • Type-locality: Suriname (“Dutch Guiana”): Paramaribo (G.H. Bünzli).
    • Type-depositories: IBVR (holotype); MCZC, MZSP (paratypes).
    • Combination in Neivamyrmex: Borgmeier, 1953: 5.
    • Status as species: Borgmeier, 1955: 560 (redescription); Kempf, 1961b: 489; Kempf, 1972a: 158; Watkins, 1976: 18 (in key); Bolton, 1995b: 291.
    • Distribution: Bolivia, Brazil, Guyana, Suriname.
