  • umbonata. Pheidole umbonata Mayr, 1870b: 978 (s.w.) TONGA. Mann, 1921: 431 (q.). Senior synonym of zimmermani: Wilson & Taylor, 1967: 50. Current subspecies: nominal plus fusciventris.
  • zimmermani. Pheidole umbonata subsp. zimmermani Wheeler, W.M. 1936f: 6 (s.w.q.m.) TAHITI. Junior synonym of umbonata: Wilson & Taylor, 1967: 50.
