  • neptunus. Polyrhachis neptunus Smith, F. 1865: 69, pl. 4, fig. 2 (w.) NEW GUINEA. Combination in P. (Myrmothrinax): Emery, 1925b: 183.

Holotype worker in Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Labelled “N.” (= New Guinea) and with a Donisthorpe type-label.
