Senior synonym of grisea: Dalla Torre, 1893: 269; Emery, 1896d: 379. Current subspecies: nominal plus glabra, nitidissima, nitidiventris.
  • grisea. Formica grisea Le Guillou, 1842: 314 (q.) "Triton Bay". Combination in Polyrhachis: Roger, 1863b: 8. Junior synonym of sericata: Dalla Torre, 1893: 269; Emery, 1896d: 379.
