    • Type-material: 2 syntype males.
    • Type-locality: Australia: Macintyre River, “51/36” (no collector’s name).
    • Type-depository: BMNH.
    • Combination in Pachycondyla: Brown, in Bolton, 1995b: 308;
    • combination in Pseudoneoponera: Schmidt, C.A. & Shattuck, 2014: 135.
    • Status as species: Mayr, 1863: 449; Dalla Torre, 1893: 408; Emery, 1911d: 116.
    • Distribution: Australia.
