BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Santschi is known for his pioneering work on the navigational abilities of ants. In one experiment, he investigated the way harvester ants used the sky to navigate.


ANT TAXONOMY

Felix Santschi was a prolific taxonomist, publishing 188 separate papers on the taxonomy of ants.


SANTSCHI COLLECTION

Santschi'S personal collection resides in the Naturhistorisches Museum Basel.
