Description

Worker minor, Length 6.5 mm. Larger and thinner than the type. Mandibles longer, external edge less curved. Keel of the clypeus sharper. Head rectangular, 1.5 times longer than wide (in the type nigroaeneus the head of the minor worker is trapezoidal, widened at the back, only a little longer than wide). Pronotum less wide and less bordered at the front. Profile of the basal face weakly but distinctly concave (depressed). More glossy, especially the gaster, node and thorax; sculpture, punctation and pubescence weaker. ALL the rest is identical: pilosity, color, general sculpture, form of the node etc.
