    • Type-material: 2 syntype major workers, 6 syntype minor workers.
    • Type-locality: Indonesia: Irian Jaya (“Dutch New Guinea”), Maffin Bay, vii.1944, in rotting sago palm log (E.S. Ross).
    • Type-depository: CASC.
    • Combination in Carebara: Fischer, et al. 2014: 72.
    • Status as species: Chapman & Capco, 1951: 160; Ettershank, 1966: 119; Bolton, 1995b: 333.
    • Distribution: Indonesia (Irian Jaya).
