- Type-material: holotype worker, 13 paratype workers.
- Type-locality: holotype Jamaica: Quick Step, 380 m. (18°18’N, 77°45’W), Trelawny, 22-23.iii.1984, no. 1010 (J. Longino); paratypes with same data, paratype workers (number not stated) Jamaica: Welcome, 590 m., (18°17’N, 77°20’W), St Ann, 15.iii.1984, no. 1-5 (J. Longino).
- Type-depositories: LACM (holotype); JTLC, LACM, MCZC (paratypes).
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 168.
- Distribution: Jamaica.
