  • goianum. Eciton mexicanum subsp. goianum Borgmeier, 1955: 258, pl. 10, fig. 5; pl. 11, fig. 10; pl. 12, fig. 8; pl. 55, figs. 6, 10 (s.w.q.m.) BRAZIL (Goiás).
    • Type-material: holotype queen, 1 paratype queen, paratype workers (number not stated, “numerous”).
    • Type-locality: holotype Brazil: Goiás, Campinas, 26.xii.1935 (Schwarzmaier); paratypes: workers (number not stated) with same data, 1 paratype queen, paratype workers (number not stated) Brazil: Goiás, Trinidade, 20.ix.1936 (Schwarzmaier).
    • Type-depository: MZSP.
    • Subspecies of mexicanum: Kempf, 1972a: 103; Bolton, 1995b: 185.
