Euconnus
This is a potentially myrmecophilous genus of Staphylinidae with 320 species in North America, 180 species in the subgenus Napochus, and 2,600 species worldwide. Little is known about the life history of most Scydmaeninae in general, and nothing about Euconnus (Napochus) species in particular, but it is clear that both larvae and adults of scydmaenine species are primarily mite predators. Association with ants living in the soil may be coincidental. Since mites are often in ant nests, it is doubtful that any species are myrmecophiles. Needs confirmation. Below is a list of some of the species from Arizona.
