- gnoma. Amblyopone gnoma Taylor, 1979: 829, figs. 13-16 (w.q.) SOLOMON IS (Guadalcanal I.).
- Type-material: holotype worker, 1 paratype worker, 3 paratype queens.
- Type-locality: holotype Solomon Is: Guadalcanal I., Kukum-Mt Austen Road, 10.viii.1966, acc. 23445 (P.J.M. Greenslade); paratypes: 1 worker Mt Austen, 28.iii.1966, acc.22470 (P.J.M.
