Identification

Collingwood and Agosti (1996) - HW 0.68-0.69; SI 167-176. This elegant red species (Sharaf et al. 2020 notes the type material is a uniform dull yellow) was misidentified as Acantholepis longinoda (=Lepisiota longinoda) from Wahiba Sands in Collingwood (1985). The two species have similar morphological characteristics but L. longinoda is more sculptured.
