Identification
Zhou (2001) -Close to Leptogenys yerburyi but can distinguish from the latter by mandibles longgitudinally triangular, without tooth; anterior clypeal border truncate in the median portion, not triangularly projected.

Description
Worker
Holotype worker: TL 6.2, HL 1.35, HW 0.90, CI 66, SL 1.38, SI 153, PW 0.81, AL 2.04, ED 0.16, PH 0.75, DPW 0.59.
Paratype: TL 5.9, HL 1.32, HW 0.88, CI 66, SL 1.35, SI 153, PW 0.78, AL 1.95, ED 0.16, PH 0.69, DNL 0.56, DPW 0.53.
Head longer than broad. Mandible longitudinally triangular, masticatory margin without tooth. Clypeus convex, with median carina, anterior border truncate in median portion, and with membranous border. Antennal scape long, extending beyond occipital border; The 2nd funicular segment subequal to the 3rd. Promesonotum slightly convex above, promesonotal suture distinct; Mesopropodeal suture incised deeply; basal face of propodeum slightly convex, and slightly longer than declivity, conjunction between them bluntly rounded. Petiolar node slightly longer than broad, anterior face arched oblique, posterior face straight. Gaster shorter than alitrunk, constriction between the basal two segments distinct.
Mandibles with fine longitudinal striations; head, antennal scapes with dense punctures; alitrunk with sparse punctures; petiolar node and gaster with pilose punctures. Erect hairs short, abundant. Pubescence present on antennal scapes, head and legs.
Color dark red.

Holotype worker, Huaping Natural Reserve, Guangxi, 16.VIII.1998, Shanyi Zhou leg. Paratype 1 worker, data as holotype.
