  • calypso. Polyrhachis spinosa subsp. calypso Forel, 1911d: 394 (w.) INDONESIA (Sumatra). Combination in P. (Myrmhopla): Emery, 1925b: 191. Raised to species and senior synonym of capra, malaccana: Bolton, 1975c: 7.
  • malaccana. Polyrhachis (Myrmhopla) sexspinosa var. malaccana Viehmeyer, 1916a: 167, fig. 15 (w.) WEST MALAYSIA. Junior synonym of calypso: Bolton, 1975c: 7.
