Promyrmister

There is a single extinct species in this myrmecophilous genus of Histeridae. The holotype inclusion is derived from an amber mine located near Noije Bum, Tanaing, Kachin, Myanmar. The U-Pb dating of zircons from the volcanoclastic matrix yielded an age of 98.79 ± 0.62 million years (Shi et al., 2012).
