    • Type-material: syntype workers (number not stated, “numerous”), 2 syntype queens, 1 syntype male.
    • Type-locality: Spain: Balearic Is., Majorca, nr Esporlas, 30.viii.1925 (W.M. Wheeler).
    • Type-depository: MCZC.
    • Subspecies of latro: Ceballos, 1956: 306; Ettershank, 1966: 140.
