    • Type-material: holotype worker, 22 paratype workers, 82 paratype queens, 42 paratype males.
    • Type-locality: holotype Afghanistan: Prov. Nengrahar, Jalalabad, 1.iii.1965 (D. Povolný); paratypes: 22 workers, 42 males with same data, 82 queens Prov. Nengrahar, 10 km. EES Jalalabad, 620 m., 21.ii.1966 (D. Povolný & F. Tenora).
    • Type-depositories: MMBC (holotype); MIZW, MMBC (paratypes).
    • Junior synonym of deserticola: Dlussky & Zabelin, 1985: 222.
    • Status as species: Dlussky & Radchenko, 1994: 105; Bolton, 1995b: 388.
    • Distribution: Afghanistan.

Remarks. According to the original description, the holotype and 105 paratypes should have been deposited in MMBC and 41 paratypes in the Museum of the Zoological Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Additional 47 workers in Moravian Museum, Brno, Czech Republic are labelled as paratypes but were not explicitly listed in the original description. These specimens were collected at the same site and on the same date as the female paratypes listed above:
