- knuti. Solenopsis orbula subsp. knuti Pisarski, 1967: 400, figs. 56-61 (w.q.) AFGHANISTAN.
- Type-material: holotype worker, 9 paratype workers, 5 paratype queens.
- Type-locality: holotype Afghanistan: Kouh-Zarmast (A365), nr Maïmaneh, 870 m., 19.x.1957 (K. Lindberg); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depositories: ZMLS (holotype); MIZW, ZMLS (paratypes).
- Status as species: Dlussky & Radchenko, 1994: 105; Bolton, 1995b: 388.
