Identification
Heterick (2009) - Stigmacros anthracina is closely related to Stigmacros brachytera and Stigmacros elegans but can be recognized by the punctate-microreticulate sculpture of the mesonotum.

Distribution
In the SWBP this rather uncommon ant has only been collected in the Darling Range south of Perth, but it was originally described from Mt Lofty, near Adelaide, SA.
