Stigmacros occidentalis, with small teeth on the side of the node, and Stigmacros clivispina, similar to the preceding but without teeth, are found in the Perth area and the jarrah forest south of Perth (Heterick 2009).

Taxonomic Notes
Heterick (2021): An examination of ANIC type specimens for S. occidentalis and S. armstrongi reveals the two ants are identical. Stigmacros occidentalis is the senior name.
