According to Mann (1928) the pupae from which the type series was reared, were found in nests of Crematogaster (Orthocrema) brevispinosa Mayr subsp. tumulifera Forel in Cordia alliodora Ruiz & Pavon (Boraginaceae). Crematogaster torosa is valid name.
