Description

Worker

Holotype. TL 2.2, HL 0.62, HW 0.40, CI 65, ML 0.10, MI 16, SL 0.29, SI 73, PW 0.25, AL 0.60. Characters of emarginata-complex. All hairs on dorsum of head spoon-shaped, without simple hairs close to the occipital margin. All hairs on promesonotum spoon-shaped, without 3-4 pairs of simple standing hairs on the mesonotum. Pleurae and side of propodeum mostly to entirely smooth and shining. Pronotal dorsum and side smooth, without punctate, longitudinal striolate or costulate sculpture. Propodeal dorsum smooth.

Paratypes. TL 2.2-2.3, HL 0.62-0.64, HW 0.39-0.42, CI 62- 66, ML 0.10-0.11, MI 16-17, SL 0.28-0.30, SI 70-75, PW 0.25-0. 27, AL 0.60-0.63 (13 measured).

Type Material

Holotype worker, Burundi: Banage, 19.v.1977 (A. Dejean) (The Natural History Museum).

Paratypes. 13 workers and 1 queen (dealate) with same data as holotype (BMNH, Museum of Comparative Zoology).
