BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

NyPa International, 90 Carrington Street, Adelaide SA 5000, Australia. Nicholas P. Yensen, Ph.D. Ecology, University of Arizona. My principal work is with plants/crops that grow in saline environments. I have spent some 25-30 years in this field and have 7 patents and am in the process of writting another 13 on various aspects of salinity, water remediation... one of which is CDI (capacitive deionization). CDI is a technology that extracts salts or any dissolved solids from water using aeorgel electrodes. The process promises to be more efficient that RO and DI for many applications. The bulk of my work, however, is in agriculture. NyPa International with NyPa Australia, Yancheng NyPa and now with NyPa Iberica is a technolgy clearing house to distribute salt tolerant plants and other technology for saline conditions (including aquaculture). I spend much of my time traveling around the world [sounds great until you've gone around the world 6 times in a year]. In spare time & between flights I have initiated a bulletin called SALT BULLETIN to report on the developments in salinity and we have a few subscribers and to whom I must address, if there are any of you brave souls out there, that another issue is due and I am still committed to publishing. Hence, for those out there who wish to publish: articles of a half-page to a page will be accepted for publication, if they meet editorial scrutiny. e-mail to NyPa@aol.com or NickYensen@aol.com or mail 727 N. Ninth Ave.
