    • [First available use of Crematogaster spengeli subp. taipingensis var. picata Viehmeyer, 1916a: 125; unavailable (infrasubspecific) name.]
    • Subspecies of spengeli: Bolton, 1995b: 160.
    • Subspecies of coriaria: Hosoishi & Ogata, 2015b: 4 (by implication, as spengeli synonymised under coriaria).
