  • sericata. Formica sericata Guérin-Méneville, 1831, pl. 8, fig. 2 (w.) "Offack". Emery, 1887a: 232 (q.). Combination in Polyrhachis: Smith, F. 1858b: 36; in P. (Myrma): Emery, 1925b: 203. Senior synonym of grisea: Dalla Torre, 1893: 269; Emery, 1896d: 379. Current subspecies: nominal plus glabra, nitidissima, nitidiventris.
  • grisea. Formica grisea Le Guillou, 1842: 314 (q.) "Triton Bay". Combination in Polyrhachis: Roger, 1863b: 8. Junior synonym of sericata: Dalla Torre, 1893: 269; Emery, 1896d: 379.
