Camponotus nitidus
(Smith, F., 1859)

This species has been considered a junior synonym of Colobopsis quadriceps since Mayr (1863) and has received essentially no attention in the published literature. However, Donisthorpe (1932) treated this taxon as valid, although this proposal has been overlooked until recently. The true identity of this species remains uncertain and nothing is known concerning its biology.
