Junior synonym of blandus: Emery, 1903: 67. Revived from synonymy as subspecies of blandus: Santschi, 1922c: 111. Revived status as species and senior synonym of scintillans: Wild, 2007b: 45.
  • scintillans. Camponotus pellitus r. scintillans Forel, 1901h: 72 (w.) PARAGUAY. Combination in C. (Myrmaphaenus): Emery, 1925b: 154. Subspecies of blandus: Santschi, 1922c: 111. Junior synonym of pellitus: Wild, 2007b: 45.
