    • Type-material: 4 syntype workers.
    • Type-localities: 3 workers Nigeria: Ibadan (F. Silvestri) (invalid restriction of type-locality by Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 984; no lectotype designated), 1 worker Nigeria: Lagos (F. Silvestri).
    • Type-depository: NHMB (perhaps also DEUN).
    • Santschi, 1915c: 277 (s.w.q.m.).
    • Subspecies of perrisii: Santschi, 1915c: 272 (in key); Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 984; Emery, 1925b: 131; Donisthorpe, 1927b: 405; Bolton, 1995b: 113.
