Based on Kronauer et al., 2007. Note only selected Dorylus species are included, and undescribed species are excluded.

It appears that this species is probably confined to West Africa and the Congo Basin with relatively few reports. In Benin, Taylor et al. (2018) found it in a mango (Mangifera indica) orchard orchard where it was prey of Oecophylla longinoda.
